Andrew Feest has been working as an artisan for over 35 years and designing and making swords, daggers and other related items for over 20 years. His swords have sold all over the world, clients include fencers, fencing teachers and masters, collectors, historians, theatre and film performers and museums.
Andrew is also a fencing master and founded the Sussex Sword Academy (SSA) in 1997 as well as holding the position of President of the British Federation of Historical Fencers (BFHS) for three years. This experience contributes to a deep understanding of how the swords, daggers and other items he designs and constructs need to perform in the field by taking into account the weight, length, balance and centre of percussion of the weapons he produces. Andrew started out as a Theatre Designer, and specialised in costume, set and mask design and construction. In a second career he went on to build a graphic design team (HA Design) in Brighton. Then finally set up Feestspada Armoury in 2006.
